| In the first stage water is passed through a Polypropylene spun fiber filter, pore size is 5 microns. This filter removes sediments and any suspended matter in the raw water; Like sand, dirt, insects and debris. |
The second filtration stage consists of an Activated carbon filter with a 0.5 micron rating. This filter plays a dual role :
- It filters out very fine particles and waterborne parasites like Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts.
- The activated carbon adsorbs many chemical compounds commonly found in water. It also helps remove unpleasent tastes and odors.
