Expio water purification systems use a patented state of the art treatment process to ensure clean, clear safe drinking water form a variety of freshwater sources. Unlike other drinking water treatment systems Expio disinfects, filters and removes harmful contaminants from water that has not been pre-treated. The Expio Treatment Process:
Water is pumped into the system using an integrated pump, this way water can be pumped directly from a lake, stream or existing plumbing
While filling water is forced through two filters: A 5 micron pre-filter and a 0.5 micron activated carbon block filter
High concentration ozone is injected into the water to disinfect and oxidize any contaminants. This ozonized water then finds itself in the water jug
Once the jug is full Expio automatically goes into recirculation mode, further filtering and treating the water until a simple dip test confirms the water is ready
Expio's patented recirculation process provides an advantage over existing systems in that the ozonized water that passes trough the filters helps prolong filter life and reduce bacterial growth.
